Polish and Polish Frizzle
Polish are a crested bantam variety that are both stunning and quirky to look at and they’re also great layers - up to 200 white eggs a year!
They are a smaller bird but have huge personalities with docile temperament and not prone to broodiness making them the perfect little backyards pets.
Our little boutique flock has been very carefully selected and curated over the past 3 years to ensure first and foremost the health and quality of the birds. Although some of the colour and feather type is not to the breed standard, we wanted something special and unique for ourselves and will continue working on some interesting colours and lacing variations! We are so excited to see what these combinations produce in the upcoming season.
Our flock consists of frizzled and smooth varieties in the rarer colourings of gold and silver laced along with some stunning pure whites.
Silkies
The Silkie is one of the most popular backyard chicken breeds in Australia. Cuddly, fluffy little layers Silkies make great first chickens for young children and for the smaller residential backyard.
They are year-round layers including the winter months when most other breeds have gone off lay and will produce 100-120 white to pale cream tinted eggs a year, great little lunch box snacks!
We have had Silkies for several years and recently started concentrating on some producing some fun and experimental colourings for our pet pens and perfecting developmental colours for showing.
